Public Hearings: July 9, 2014 (Planning Commission)

The Warren County Planning Commission will hold the following Public Hearings in accordance with Chapter 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, in the Board Meeting Room of the Warren County Government Center on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.:

 

  • 2014-05-02 – Keith and Kimberly Hartke - A request for a conditional use permit for a short-term tourist rental. The property is located at 319 Windy Way in High Knob Subdivision, is zoned Residential One (R-1), and is identified on tax map number 31B, section 2, block F, as parcel 37.  
  • 2014-06-01 – Paul and Jennifer Hill - A request for a conditional use permit for a short-term tourist rental. The property is located at 492 Panhandle Road, is zoned Agricultural (A), and is identified on tax map number 35, as parcel 4A.  
  • 2014-06-02 –Jason Miller- A request for a conditional use permit for a short-term tourist rental. The property is located at 4251 Blue Mountain Road in Blue Mountain Subdivision, is zoned Residential One (R-1), and is identified on tax map number 24A, section 1, block 5, as parcel 241.  
  • SO2014-06-01 - A request to modify Sections 155-22; 155-23; 155-28; 155-29; and 155-30 of the Warren County Code (Subdivision Ordinance) to require the submission of a preliminary subdivision plat if the subdivision results in more than 50 lots and to provide for the submission of the preliminary plat at the owner’s option if the subdivision results in 50 lots or less. These amendments are proposed to bring the County’s ordinance into compliance with State requirements.  
  • Z2014-06-01 - A request to modify Sections 180-18 and 180-55.1 of the Warren County Code to replace the term mental retardation with intellectual disability and to amend the definition of residential facility to allow resident as well as nonresident staff persons. These amendments are are proposed to bring the County’s ordinance into compliance with State requirements.
