Wastler-Farm-Web-PhotoThe Planning Committee for Warren County's 175th Anniversary has organized two Farm Tours as part of our celebration.  HistoricallyFarm-Tour-2011-123-S agriculture and farming have been important features of life in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  They remain important in the cultural, historic, quality of life and economic views of Warren County and the Valley.  We hope that the farm tours will highlight the variety of working farms here in Warren County and create a greater appreciation for their importance.  The Spring Farm Tour was held on May 14th and featured farms located in the northern part of Warren County.  The event was wonderfully received and was a success for not only the citizens that participated but the farmers as well.

The Fall Farm Tour is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th and invites participants out to see six farms in the southern part of the County.  Please click on the farm names below to see detailed information about what will be on display:

A brochure on the Tour will be distributed to elementary school students and features a map showing the location of the six farms and a brief biography on the farms history and daily operations.  Brochures can also be downloaded by CLICKING HERE.

The Farm Tours could not have been organized without the generous sponsorship of the following businesses.  Thank you for your generosity and for helping us celebrate our Anniversary!
