On March 9, 2011 Warren County held a Founding Day Ceremony at the Warren County Courthouse.  The event included music by the Randolph-Macon Academy Band, an overview of the history of the founding of Warren County by Suzanne Silek, a Presentation of Proclamation by Delegate Clay Athey, Jr. and the release of 175 biodegradable balloons.  Attendees included past and present County officials and was followed by a reception at Front Royal United Methodist Church.  Although the weather wasn't ideal, the ceremony was definitely a success!  Thank you to everyone that was able to attend the ceremony and celebrate our 175th Anniversary.
