This full-time position, under the regular supervision of the Deputy County Administrator, performs difficult skilled, technical and administrative work supervising employees and participating in the management, operation and maintenance of the Shenandoah Farms Sanitary District. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating, overseeing, and maintaining operations of various contractors hired to perform road maintenance; inspecting the condition of streets, ditches, and related improvements; coordinating and enforcing recommendations of the Sanitary District Advisory Committee; preparing requests for proposals, bid documents, purchases order requests, and overseeing contracts in accordance with procurement practices; supervising and directing subordinate employees in the operation of equipment and management of office; preparing reports and making presentations to Sanitary District Advisory Committee, Board of Supervisors, etc. Salary range for this position is $43,665.40 - $66,442.08, with an excellent benefits package. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school; considerable experience with heavy equipment; and prior experience in management of personnel required. Successful candidate must possess thorough knowledge of construction and maintenance of roadways; ability to prepare budgets, work plans, and reports; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, associates, and the general public.
