Historical Timelines

The Planning Committee for the 175th Annivesary of Warren County has complied a Timeline of Historical Events containing information from events that occured from as far back at 9,000 B.C. when the Paleo Indians settled in this area.  While the timeline is quite extensive, it is a work in progress and additions and/or corrections will be occuring as we continue to research the history of our County.  If you know of an item that you think should be added to the timeline, we encourage you to contact Patrick Farris of the Warren Heritage Society so that the event can be added to the document.  You can email Patrick by CLICKING HERE or by calling (540) 636-1446.

There are two timelines that you can view.  The first is the full document containing 18 pages of events of not only Warren County's rich history, but that of many parts of Virginia as well.  The second document is an abbreviated version containing 175 historical events pertaining only to Warren County.  To view either document, please click on the link below.
