The following information explains the Internet Privacy Policy which the County of Warren
has adopted for this website. The following is intended to explain our current
Internet privacy practices, but shall not be construed as a contractual
promise. We reserve the right to amend our Internet Privacy Statement at any
time without notice.
Purpose
The Commonwealth of Virginia under Virginia Privacy Protection Act, Chapter 38
of Title 2.2 of the Code of Virginia requires every public agency to develop and
publish an Internet Privacy Policy statement that at a minimum addresses the
following:
- whether any data is automatically collected when accessing the County’s
website;
- what information, including personal data is collected;
- whether the County’s web site automatically places a
computer file (i.e. “cookie”) on the Internet user’s computer; and
- how the collected information is being used or will be
used.
Collection of Information
- Data Collection:
The County collects NO data information when an individual visits the County
website.
- Personal Data Collection: The County collects NO personal data when
an individual visits the County website.
- Use of cookies: The County’s website does not place a cookie on your computer.
- Sharing and Disclosing of Collected Data: The County does not
share, sell, or trade any information collected on this website.
- Any personal information that is collected and retained is maintained in
compliance with the Virginia Government Data Collection and Dissemination Practices Act,
Virginia Code Section 2.2-3800, et., seq.
- The collection of logs and data of the County of Warren’s website is a public
record that may be provided to anyone who requests it under the Virginia Freedom of
Information Act, Virginia Code Section 2.2-3700, et., seq.
