STAUNTON – Route 605 (Poor House Road) in Warren County will be closed at the intersection with Route 340 (Stonewall Jackson Highway) for about two months beginning Monday, April 20, 2015. This closure is related to the realignment of Route 340 and construction of a new bridge over Gooney Creek. Drivers who need to access Route 605 will detoured onto Route 607 (Rocky Lane) east and Route 649 (Browntown Road) south to Route 605. The detour will remain in place until traffic begins using the new bridge and roadway, which is expected to occur by late June. All work is weather permitting.
